The football academy Asteras Vyrona had the opportunity to experience visiting a city that beats for its football team, S.S.C. Napoli. Walking through the city center, it becomes immediately clear that Napoli fans are not joking around.

Every house, building, and balcony displays a team flag, an official jersey, or even blue and white stripes that create a magical atmosphere. Combined with the old buildings in the center and the fantastic view of the bay from the hill of Posillipo, Naples is a city full of life.

The children of Asteras also had the opportunity to visit the unique sights of Pompeii and learn about the history of the area, walking through the best-preserved ancient city in the world. Observing the well-preserved buildings, statues, and even animals and human bodies, you feel as if you have traveled back in time.

The team played three friendly matches against experienced academies and competed at an international level, with players being observed for potential inclusion in the first team of S.S.C. Napoli.

When you are in Naples, you cannot miss the heart of Neapolitan football, the “Diego Armando Maradona Stadium.” Dressed in blue and white, the stadium is the “temple” of all Neapolitans. Finally, the Asteras Vyrona delegation had the opportunity to visit the Diego Armando Maradona Museum and admire all of Diego Armando Maradona’s jerseys throughout his football career and learn his story.
