The Atlético de Madrid Grassroots Football Camp, organized by OLI Sports Tourism, delivered a unique football development experience in Athens, offering young players the opportunity to train under the methodology of one of Europe’s most respected football academies. Hosted across the football facilities of Vyronas and Ymittos, the camp welcomed aspiring athletes for a week focused on technical development and personal growth through sport.

Throughout five full days of training, participants worked with academy coaches from Atlético de Madrid, gaining exposure to the club’s renowned football philosophy, training principles, and player development approach. The program was designed to provide an authentic academy experience, helping young footballers improve their skills while embracing the values of teamwork, discipline, commitment to excellence that define the Spanish club’s identity.

The camp brought together 130 young athletes and more than 100 coaches, creating one of the region’s most significant grassroots football education events. Supported by experienced coaches from both Spain and Greece, the program fostered knowledge exchange, international collaboration, and engagement between players, coaches, and football stakeholders.

Beyond the athletic experience, the event also featured a specialized Coaching Clinic, offering coaches from across Greece the opportunity to learn directly from Atlético de Madrid representatives. Through educational workshops and methodology presentations, participants gained valuable insight into the club’s grassroots structure and long-term player development model.

Every participant received exclusive commemorative gifts and official certificates of participation, recognizing their engagement throughout the week. Through the successful delivery of this football development initiative, OLI Sports Tourism once again demonstrated its expertise in organizing elite football camps, coach education programs, and grassroots sports experiences that connect global football institutions with local communities.
