OLI x AUEB Field Study Project: Services Marketing Course

The OLI Sports Tourism Field Study Project, developed in collaboration with the Department of Marketing & Communication at the Athens University of Economics and Business, was recently completed with great success, bringing together students, academics, and industry professionals in a creative and highly engaging initiative centered around services marketing and customer journey mapping.

As part of the Services Marketing course, student teams were invited to work on a demanding and hands-on project focused on customer experience and analyzing the customer journey within the sports tourism industry. Through research, strategic thinking, and collaborative work, the participants presented innovative and practical ideas aimed at enhancing customer experience. The quality of the presentations, the maturity of the students’ approach, and the creativity behind their proposals left a particularly strong impression on the panel assessment committee.

Throughout the semester and during the competition finale, Mr. Ioannis Mostrios, CEO & Founder of OLI Sports Tourism, and Mr. Panagiotis Kratimenos, Director of Marketing, actively supported and guided the students, delivering lectures on Services Marketing and assisting with the progress of their assignments. For OLI Sports Tourism, it was an opportunity to engage with young talent, exchange ideas, and contribute to an environment where academic knowledge meets the real dynamics of the market. Overall, the students approached the challenge with professionalism and curiosity, highlighting the importance of teamwork and adaptability, while also delivering exceptional results.

The outcome of the project further strengthened the relationship between OLI Sports Tourism and AUEB, establishing the foundations for an ongoing collaboration built on innovation and knowledge exchange. Through partnerships with leading academic institutions, OLI continues to gain valuable insights and perspectives that contribute to the evolution of the company and the wider sports tourism sector, while the collaboration is already set to continue through upcoming academic projects and courses.
